Three GLP guideline studies were conducted in order to investigate the toxicity of the test substance towards terrestrial organisms.

The acute effects of the test substance on the earthworm Eisenia fetida were investigated in a GLP guideline study according to OECD 207. Based on nominal concentrations a LC50 (14d) value of 64.5 mg/kg dw of soil was determined (BASF SE 67E0325/01G002, 2011).

The results obtained in studies according to OECD 208 (toxicity to terrestrial plants) as well as OECD 216 (toxicity to soil microorganisms) are listed below:

OECD 208 (BASF SE 65E0325/01G005, 2011). The results of this study after an exposure duration of 22 days were:

Brassica napus:

NOEC (seedling emergence) = 125 mg/kg dw

NOEC (growth) = 15.7 mg/kg dw

EC50 (growth) = 146 mg/kg dw

Avena sativa:

NOEC (seedling emergence) = 250 mg/kg dw

NOEC (growth) = 125 mg/kg dw

EC50 (growth) = > 250 mg/kg dw

Vicia sativa:

NOEC (seedling emergence) = 250 mg/kg dw

NOEC (growth) = 31.3 mg/kg dw

EC50 (growth) = 206 mg/kg dw

OECD 216 (BASF SE 37G0325/01G001, 2011):

After 7 days:

EC10 = 970 mg/kg dw

EC50 > 1000 mg/kg dw

After 28 days:

EC10 = 1000 mg/kg dw

EC50 > 1000 mg/kg dw
