First-aid measures
Ingestion: Induce vomiting by tickling the back of throat till the vomit is clear.
Inhalation: Immediately flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes, lifting the upper & lower eyelids intermittently. Get medical attention
quickly.
Eyes: Wash with normal saline.
Skin: Flush skin with plenty of water for at leat 15 minutes. Wash contaminated skin and clothes with plenty of water and soap. If irritation persists call a physician.
Antidote: Treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
Fire extinguishing media: Dry chemical, CO2, water spray or standard foam.
Hazardous decomposition products: When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of oxides of nitrogen and carbon.
Special firefighting procedure: Move containers from fire area if possible fight fire from maximum distance. Stay away from storage tank ends. Do not scatter material. Avoid breathing toxic vapours, keep up wind.
Precaution to Fire Fighters: Wear self contained breathing apparatus for firefighting if necessary.
Accidental release measures
Personal precaution: Keep unnecessary people away. Isolate hazard area and deny entry. Do not smoke. Avoid contact and inhalation of closed spaces.
Precautions for the environment: Avoid dispersion. Isolate discharged material and keep material out of water sources. Use appropriate containment to avoid environmental contamination.
Clean up method: Wear protective equipment. Absorb on inert absorbing material. Shovel up into covered containers for disposal. Should be damped-off and pumped into containers. Soak up remainder with absorbent material and dispose off in accordance with local regulations.
Handling and storage
General precaution: Do not smoke, eat or drink during handling. Avoid inhalation and skin contact. Wash hands.
Personal protection: Do not mix with bare hand. Use gumboots, mask, hand gloves, rubber apron, hood or hat.
Storage: Shall be stored in separate well-built, dry, ventilated room away from food articles.

Exposure controls:
- Engineering measures: Engineering controls are not usually necessary if good hygiene practices are followed.
- Respiratory protection: For operations where inhalation exposure can occur, use an approved respirator recommended by an industrial hygienist after an evaluation of the operation. Where inhalation exposure cannot occur, no respiratory protection is required.
- Eye protection: Wear eye/face protection such as chemical splash proof goggles or face shield.
- Skin protection: Avoid skin contact. Wear impermeable gloves.
- Hand protection: Nitrile or fluorinated rubber gloves. Consider the porosity and elasticity data of the gloves manufacturer and the specific conditions in the workplace.

Disposal considerations
Waste treatment methods: The Company encourages the recycle, recovery and reuse of materials, where permitted. If disposal is necessary, the Company recommends that organic materials, especially when classified as hazardous waste, be disposed of by thermal treatment or incineration at approved facilities. All local and national regulations should be followed.
