Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Inhalation : Remove affected person to fresh air. In case of beathing difficulty, seek medical advice
Eye contact : Rinse opened eye for several minutes with plenty of vegetable oil. If there is any redness, pain or visual impairment, consult an ophthalmologist.
For contact lens wearers: Flush eyes immediately. The lenses are sure to fall while rinsing. If it does not, remove them after rinsing. Do not reuse.
For soft lenses: Laying the lens regardless of the renewal.
For hard lenses, they can be reused after a professional cleaning by your ophthalmologist
Skin contact : Remove contaminated clothing. Rinse affected area with plenty of water. Contact a physician if symptoms persist.
Ingestion : Do NOT induce vomiting. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Rinse mouth with water. Consult a physician. If vomiting occurs, keep head down to prevent the passage of vomit into the lungs. Take a copy of the label and/or SDS with the victim to the health professional.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media recommended : Foam, carbon dioxide or dry chemical
Non recommended : Direct waterjet
Special precautions : Toxic vapours must be avoid during fire. Respiratory protection should be released during fire. Containers close to the fire should be cooled with a water spray.
Accidental release measures
Individual protection : Avoid eye and skin contact. Don't smoke. Prevent any contact with hot surfaces. (see rubric 8)
Environment protection : Keep away from drains, soil, surface and groundwater
Methods for cleaning up : Contain spilled material, cover with an inert, noncombustible, inorganic, absorbent material and destroy according to the regulation in force.
Handling and storage
Handling : Apply according to good manufactoring and industrial hygiene practices with proper ventilation. Use individual protective equipment. Do not drink, eat or smoke while handling.
Storage : Store in cool, dry and ventilated area, away from heat sources, sparks and open flames, protected from light in tightly closed original container
Shelf life : 24 months from despatching date on, under normal storage conditions
