Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
If inhaled: Immediately break the exposure and bring the person to fresh air. Ensure that the person is protected against cold. If necessary, seek medical help.
In case of skin contact: Take off contaminated clothing. Wash the affected area with plenty of lukewarm water or water and soap. If necessary, seek medical help.
In case of eye contact: Rinse cautiously with a gentle stream of water for at least 10 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. If necessary, seek medical help.
If swallowed: Do not induce vomiting – vomiting itself can cause complications (aspiration material into the airways and lungs, mechanical damage to the mucous membrane of the pharynx, in this case may pose a greater threat than the ingested substance). If possible, give activated charcoal in an amount of 1 to 2 crushed tablets. If necessary, seek medical help.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: Use water or water spray, alcohol-resistant foam, dry chemical or carbon dioxide.
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters: Wear self contained breathing apparatus for fire fighting if necessary.
During burning can rise hazardous fumes, carbon, nitrogen and sulphur oxides.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Use appropriate working clothes. Avoid breathing dust and contact with skin and eyes. Avoid prolonged or repeated exposure.
Environmental precautions: Prevent leakage of larger amount of material into the environment.
Methods and materials for containment and cleaning up: Leaked material sweep and return into appropriate container and eventually discard to incinerator. Ventilate area and wash spill site after material pickup is complete.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling: Store in a cool, dry place. Keep container tightly closed when not in use. Provide appropriate exhaust ventilation at places where dust is formed.

Exposure controls / personal protection
1. Technical protection measures: not necessary
2. Organisational protection measures: not necessary
3. Hand protection: use suitable working gloves (leather, rubber or plastic)
4. Feet protection: use suitable working footwear
5. Body protection: use suitable working clothes
6. Eye protection: not necessary; in case of increased dustiness, use tightly fitting goggles conforming to EN 166
7. Respiratory protection: not necessary; in case of increased dustiness, use a respirator or mask with a filter against dusts (FFP1)
Stability and reactivity
The substance is stable under normal temperature and pressure.
Disposal considerations
Recommended disposal method: Burn as hazardous waste in a chemical incinerator equipped with an afterburner and scrubber.
