20 mg/L
EC10 or NOEC for freshwater algae:
7.6 mg/L

Additional information

Three studies are available for C12-18AS Na (CAS 68955-19-1). The key, GLP study of Scholz (1997) was conducted according to the EU method C.3 with Desmodesmus subspicatus. The EC50 value for growth rate reported after 72 h of exposure was 20 mg/L. The 72-hour EC10 value was 7.6 mg/L.

A supporting test was preformed by Marshall (1992) according to OECD 201 with Desmodesmus subcapitatus. The 72 h EC50 for growth rate and biomass, as well as NOEC for biomass were above 3.09 mg/L.

The further available supporting study of (Muhlberg 1992) is conducted according to the German standard method DIN 38412, part 9. The 96-hour EC50 was 38 mg/L based on cell number.
