Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
INHALATION:
Remove to fresh air. If breathing is irregular or stopped, administer artificial respiration.
If symptoms persist, call a physician.
SKIN CONTACT:
After contact with skin, wash immediately with plenty of soap and water. Consult a physician.
EYE CONTACT:
In the case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice.
Call a physician immediately.
INGESTION:
Call a physician immediately. Clean mouth with water and drink afterwards plenty of water.
Do not induce vomiting without medical advice. Never give anything by mouth to an
unconscious person.
NOTES TO PHYSICANS:
Hazards
The absorption of this product into the body may lead to the formation of methaemoglobine that,
in sufficient concentration, causes cyanosis.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media:
- Dry powder, Water spray, Foam
Specific hazards during fire fighting:
- Heating or fire can release toxic gas.
Special protective equipment for fire-fighters:
- In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus.
Additional advice:
- Use water spray to cool unopened containers.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions:
- Avoid dust formation. Use personal protective equipment.
Environmental precautions:
- Prevent product from entering drains.
Methods for cleaning up:
- Sweep up or vacuum up spillage and collect in suitable container for disposal.
Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.
Handling and storage
This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH regulation.
In case the substance is transported to other sites for further processing, the substance should be handled at these sites under Strictly Controlled
Conditions as specified in REACH regulation Article 18(4). Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of
engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at each
Manufacturing site.
HANDLING:
Safe handling advice:
- Avoid formation of respirable particles. Provide sufficient air exchange and/or exhaust in work rooms.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Advice on protection against fire and explosion:
- Avoid dust formation. Take precautionary measures against static discharges.
STORAGE:
Requirements for storage areas and containers:
- Keep container tightly closed. To maintain product quality, do not store in heat or direct sunlight. Keep in a dry, cool
and wellventilated place.
Other data:
- Avoid dust formation.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Written confirmation of application of Strictly Controlled Conditions has been received from every affected Downstream User of the Registrant's
intermediate.
During its lifecycle the substance is handled under strictly controlled conditions and is rigorously contained in accordance to Art. 18.
Based on the knowledge of the basic hazards to humans and environment technical, organizational and PPE measures are taken to minimize releaseand exposure of this substance.
National regulatory requirements for the handling of chemicals are also fulfilled. Employees are regularly trained. The efficiency of these measures is controlled e.g. by workplace measurements. In case of deviations these measures are adapted.
Personal protective equipment
HYGIENE MEASURES:
Wash hands before breaks and immediately after handling the
product. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.
RESPIRATORY PROTECTION :
In the case of dust or aerosol formation use respirator with an
approved filter. Half mask with a particle filter P2 (EN 143).
HAND PROTECTION :
SUITABLE MATERIAL: Nitrile rubber
Break through time : > 480 min
Take note of the information given by the producer concerning permeability and break through times, and of special workplace
conditions (mechanical strain, duration of contact).
EYE PROTECTION:
Safety glasses with side-shields
SKIN AND BODY PROTECTION:
Choose body protection according to the amount and concentration of the dangerous substance at the work place.,
No special protective equipment required.
ADDITIONAL TECHNICAL INFORMATION ON THE PLANT:
Handle product only in a closed system.
Stability and reactivity
Conditions to avoid:
- no data available
Materials to avoid:
- Oxidizing agents
Hazardous decomposition products:
- nitrogen oxides (NOx), Carbon oxides
Hazardous reactions:
- Stable under normal conditions.
Disposal considerations
Waste from residues:
- Dispose of in accordance with local regulations.
Contact waste disposal services:
Contaminated packaging:
- Where possible recycling is preferred to disposal or incineration.
