Classification according to CLP

Based on the data above, Diisononyl adipate (CAS 33703-08-1, DINA) is considered to be rapidly degradable. No acute aquatic toxicity was observed up to the water solubility limit for fish, invertebrates and algae. Valid chronic data are available with no effects on algal growth reproduction of Daphnia magna up to the water solubility limit. Therefore, DINA does not need to be classified and labelled as acute aquatic hazard according to the 2nd ATP of the Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (CLP).

 

Classification according to DSD

Based on the data above, DINA is rapidly degradable and is considered to have a low potential for accumulation. No effects occurred up to its solubility limit in acute tests for fish, invertebrates and algae. Therefore, DINA does not need to be classified and labelled as environmental hazard according to Directive 67/548/EEC.
