Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
Skin contact: Remove all contaminated clothes and footwear immediately unless stuck to
skin. Drench the affected skin with running water for 10 minutes or longer if
substance is still on skin. Consult a doctor.
Eye contact: Bathe the eye with running water for 15 minutes. Transfer to hospital for
specialist examination.
Ingestion: Wash out mouth with water. Do not induce vomiting. If conscious, give half a
litre of water to drink immediately. Consult a doctor.
Inhalation: Remove casualty from exposure ensuring one's own safety whilst doing so.
Consult a doctor.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media: Water. Carbon dioxide. Alcohol or polymer foam. Dry chemical powder. Use
water spray to cool containers.
Exposure hazards: In combustion emits toxic fumes of carbon dioxide / carbon monoxide.
Protection of fire-fighters: Wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Wear protective clothing to prevent
contact with skin and eyes.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Refer to section 8 of SDS for personal protection details. Mark out the
contaminated area with signs and prevent access to unauthorised personnel.
Do not create dust.
Environmental precautions: Do not discharge into drains or rivers.
Clean-up procedures: Do not use equipment in clean-up procedure which may produce sparks.
Transfer to a closable, labelled salvage container for disposal by an
appropriate method.
Handling and storage
Handling requirements: Use non-sparking tools. Earth any equipment used in handling. Avoid direct
contact with the substance. Ensure there is sufficient ventilation of the area.
Avoid the formation or spread of dust in the air.
Storage conditions: Store in cool, well ventilated area. Keep container tightly closed.

UK - 8 hour TWA: 4 mg/m3 (Respirable dust)
Hazardous ingredients: CYCLOHEXANE-1,3-DIONE
EU - 8 hour TWA: 4 mg/m3 (Respirable dust)
Engineering measures: Ensure there is sufficient ventilation of the area. Ensure lighting and electrical
equipment are not a source of ignition.
Respiratory protection: Respiratory protective device with particle filter. Self-contained breathing
apparatus must be available in case of emergency.
Hand protection: Protective gloves.
Eye protection: Safety goggles. Ensure eye bath is to hand.
Skin protection: Protective clothing. Apron. Boots.
Stability and reactivity
Stability: Stable under normal conditions.
Conditions to avoid: Heat.
Materials to avoid: Strong oxidising agents. Strong acids.
Haz. decomp. products: In combustion emits toxic fumes of carbon dioxide / carbon monoxide.
Disposal considerations
Disposal operations: Transfer to a suitable container and arrange for collection by specialised
disposal company.
NB: The user's attention is drawn to the possible existence of regional or national
regulations regarding disposal.
