Results and discussion
In vivo
- Irritant / corrosive response data:
- At 24 hours, moderate capillary injection was seen in a single rabbit; marked capillary injection was seen in a further rabbit. Two rabbits exhibited moderate erythema and marked erythema could be seen in 1 animal.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- The test material was seen to produce minor irritation to the skin of the New Zealand White rabbit under the conditions of this study.
- Executive summary:
The potential of the test material to cause skin irritation was investigated in a test in which 0.06mL of the undiluted test material was applied to the clipped, intact belly skin of New Zealand White rabbits and the effects evaluated after 24 hours.
The test material was seen to produce minor irritation under the conditions of this study. However a lack of data prevents definitive classification of the test material in accordance with EU criteria.
