Executive summary:

Isomaltulose, a main component of isomaltulose greens and a structural isomer of sucrose, is hydrolyzed slowly in the intestinal tracts of mammals, though metabolism may be more rapid in rats and dogs than humans. In humans, isomaltulose is largely and rapidly excreted in the urine unchanged. The other main component of isomaltulose greens, trehalulose, is also a structural isomer of sucrose and thus would have the same metabolic characteristics as isomaltulose.
