Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

One study evaluating the adsorption potential of 2-(4-tert-butylphenyl)-6-cyano-5-[bis(ethoxycarbonylmethyl)carbamoyloxy]-1 H-pyrrolo[1 ,2-b][1 ,2,4]triazole-7-carboxylic acid-2,6-di-tert-butyl-4-methyl-cyclohexyl ester (UC-141) is available (Brekelmans, 2004). This test was conducted according to OECD 121, under GLP conditions. The test substance was injected (along with a 55/45% (v/v) methanol/water mobile phase) in a HPLC column at 35 °C. This column contained a cyanopropyl solid phase with both polar and non-polar sites, resembling soil and activated sludge matrices in the environment. The retention time of the substance in the column was measured at neutral pH (no ionization occurred). A range of 9 reference substances was chosen and their retention times measured as well in order to create the calibration curve from which the log Koc of the test substance would be extrapolated. The results of the HPLC chromatogram showed two distinct peaks (at 210 nm), a large one that would correspond to the major component of the test substance and a smaller one, considered to represent an impurity. The log Koc of the major component was determined to be > 5.63, and therefore, UC-141 shows potential for adsorption to solid particles.
