Conclusions:
72-hr EL50 was estimated to be > 5008 mg/L WAF (nominal loading)
72-hr NOEL was estimated to be >5008 mg/L WAF

The data indicate that test material is not expected to cause acute toxicity to algae at its maximum water solubility limits (WSL) .
Executive summary:

72-hr EL50 was estimated to be > 5008 mg/L WAF (nominal loading)

72-hr NOEL was estimated to be >5008 mg/L WAF

The data indicate that test material is not expected to cause acute toxicity to algae at its maximum water solubility limits (WSL) .

Description of key information

A static 72-hour test (OECD 201 guidelines) has been performed to evaluate the acute toxicity (i.e., growth inhibition) of 1,4-benzene-dicarboxylic acid, di-C11-14 isoalkyl ester, C13-rich to Selenastrum capricornutum, a representative freshwater green algae. The test algae was exposed to individual water accommodated fraction (WAF) solutions derived from 0, 102, 511, 1022, 2453 and 5008 mg/L loadings of the test material. Inhibition of algal cell growth was monitored. It was determined that the 72-hr EL50 was > 5008 mg/L and the 72-hr NOEL was >5008 mg/L.

Key value for chemical safety assessment
