Remarks on result:
other: Due to instrument failure, atm pressure was not recorded but is estimated.
Remarks:
Atm press estimated as average of high and low over 12 mo period

Due to a failure in the instrument used to record the atmospheric pressure, the atmospheric pressure was not recorded. A review of historical atmospheric pressure data over a twelve month period shows the atmospheric pressure as 95.79 to 103.93 kPa at Harlan Laboratories Ltd, Shardlow, UK.

The room temperature was 21 °C.

Conclusions:
The study report describes a valid guideline study conducted under certificated GLP compliance. The auto-ignition temperature was determined as 360 +/- 5 °C (not corrected to standard pressure).
Executive summary:

The auto-ignition temperature of magnesium sulfonate target substance (CAS 231297-75-9) was determined using a Carbolite flask heater and a procedure compatible to EU Method A.15 (Tremain, 2012). The test flask was heated in a flask heater. Aliquots of test item (tested as received) were injected into the flask using a syringe and the flask observed for signs of ignition over a 300 second period. This procedure was repeated, varying the sample size, as necessary, until the lowest temperature at which ignition, if any, occurred within 300 seconds of insertion, was determined. The room temperature during the experiment was 21 °C.

As result, an auto-ignition temperature of 360 +/- 5 °C is reported for the test substance.
