Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
The 96 h LL50 of the test substance to rainbow trout was >10 mg/L (nominal loading rate).
Key value for chemical safety assessment
Additional information
A study was performed to assess the acute toxicity of the test substance to rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) under semi-static conditions according to EU Method C.1 and OECD Guideline 203 in compliance with GLP. A group of ten juvenile fish was exposed to a water accommodated fraction (WAF) prepared from an aqueous mixture with an initial nominal loading rate of 10 mg/L (direct addition of the test substance to the diluent water). To aid dissolution, the aqueous mixture was stirred for approximately 24 h in the dark and then left to stand for another 24 h in the dark before the aqueous phase was removed and filtered (0.2 µm pore size cellulose nitrate). The resultant WAF was used in the test. Concentrations were not verified analytically because of the high insolubility of the test substance; results were therefore expressed as nominal loading rates. Observations of the fish were made after approximately 2, 4, 24, 48, 72 and 96 h of exposure. No mortality or treatment-related effects were seen in either the control or at the nominal loading rate of 10 mg/L. Under the study conditions, the 96 h LL50 of the test substance to rainbow trout was > 10 mg/L (nominal loading rate).
