Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General advice: Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.
IF INHALED: If breathing is difficult, remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell.
IF ON SKIN: Remove/take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Gently wash with plenty of soap and water. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention.
IF IN EYES: If contact with eyes directly, flush with gently flowing fresh water thoroughly. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention.
IF SWALLOWED: Keep patient at rest. Do not induce vomiting, wash out mouth with water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell.
Symptoms: Causes skin irritation. May cause respiratory irritation.
Medical treatment: Treat symptomatically.
Note to physician: No special measures are required.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: In case of fire use extinguishing media appropriate to surrounding conditions. Extinguish preferably with dry chemical, water spray or carbon dioxide.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: Do not use water jet. Direct water jet may spread the fire.
Special hazards arising from the substance: May polymerise on exposure to heat.Combustion or thermal decomposition may cause toxic fumes e.g., carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide.
Advice for fire-fighters: Fire fighters should wear complete protective clothing including self-contained breathing apparatus. Do not breathe fumes. Shut off source of leak if safe to do so.Keep containers cool by spraying with water if exposed to fire. Do not use sparking tools. Do not allow to enter drains, sewers or watercourses.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid breathing vapours. Avoid skin contact. Take off contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse. Keep unauthorised personnel away and upwind. Wear suitable protective clothing.
Environmental precautions: Avoid release to the environment. Do not allow to enter drains, sewers or watercourses.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: "Small spillage: Cover spills with inert absorbent material, i.e. dry earth, sand or sawdust or other non-combustible material. Transfer to a lidded container for disposal or recovery.
Large spillage: Stop leak if safe to do so. Collect mechanically, by pumping. Transfer to a lidded container for disposal or recovery."
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling: Good hygiene practices and housekeeping measures. Do not eat, drink or smoke during work. Avoid breathing vapours. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Contaminated clothing should be thoroughly cleaned. Eliminate sources of ignition. Ventilate closed spaces before entering.
Conditions for safe storage: Keep container tightly closed and in a well-ventilated place. Keep away from heat and direct sunlight. Keep away from fire, sparks and heated surfaces - no smoking. Take precautionary measures against static discharges. Storage temperature: <30 °C. Fill the container by approximately 90 % only as oxygen (air) is required for stabilisation. With large storage containers make sure the oxygen (air) supply is sufficient to ensure stability.
Incompatible materials: Keep away from oxidising substancesoxidising agents, strong bases, reducing agents and heavy metal ions.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Hygiene measures: Protective clothing should be selected specifically for the working place, depending on concentration and quantity of the hazardous substances handled. The resistance of the protective clothing to chemicals should be ascertained with the respective supplier.Wash hands before breaks and after work. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.
Respiratory protection: In case of inadequate ventilation wear respiratory protection. Recommended: Filter A
Hand protection: Wear chemically resistant gloves (tested to EN374) in combination with 'basic' employee training. Gloves should be replaced regularly.
Eye protection: Wear goggles giving complete protection to eyes to protect against liquid splashes (EN166).
Skin and body protection: Wear suitable coveralls to prevent exposure to the skin.
Environmental Exposure Controls: Avoid release to the environment. Do not allow to enter drains, sewers or watercourses.
Stability and reactivity
Chemical stability: Stable under normal conditions.
Possibility of hazardous reactions: Combustion or thermal decomposition may cause toxic fumes.May react with oxides.May polymerise on exposure to heat.
Conditions to avoid: Elevated temperature, Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. No smoking.
Incompatible materials: Keep away from oxidising substances.strong bases, reducing agents and heavy metal ions.
Hazardous decomposition products: Thermal decomposition may release: Oxides of carbon.
Disposal considerations
Product disposal methods: Avoid release to the environment. Disposal should be in accordance with local, state or national legislation. Empty containers should be disposed of after completely removing their contents
Packaging disposal methods: Ensure that all packaging is disposed of safely.
