Boiling point
The of 3-methyl-1-phenylpyrazol-5-ylamine (CAS No. 1131-18-6) wasgreater than 250°C at 974.3 hPa.
Density
The density of chemical 3-methyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-5-amine was estimated to be 1.17 ± 0.1 g/cm3 at 20°C and 760 mmHg pressure.
Particle size distrubution:
The particle size distribution of 3-methyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-5-amine was determined by granulometric analysis with rotap sieve shaker. The particle size distribution was determined to be in the range of 150 micron to 53 micron.
Vapour pressure
The vapour pressure of 3-methyl-1-phenylpyrazol-5-ylamine was estimated to be 0.00559 Pa at 25 deg C by means of Modified Grain Method.
Partition coefficient
The partition Coefficient n-octanol/water of test chmeical 3-methyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-5-amine was determined by the Reverse Phase High Performance Liquid Chromatographic method according to OECD Guideline No. 117 for testing of Chemicals. The reference substances were chosen according to estimated Pow range of the test substance and generalized calibration graph was prepared. The reference substances were having Pow value ranging from 0.3 to 6.5. The Log Pow value was determined to be 1.786 ± 0.005 dimensionless at 25°C. This value indicates that the substance is hydrophilic in nature.
Water solubility
The water solubility for the test item 3-methyl-1-phenylpyrazol-5-ylamine was found to be 6050.6 mg/L at 25°C.
Surface tension
Based on the data from ACD labs, surface tension of chemical 3-methyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-5-amine was predicted to be 45.6 ± 7.0 N/m
Flash point
The mean flash point of 3-methyl-1-phenylpyrazol-5-ylamine (CAS No. 1131-18-6) was 121.6°C at 972.8 hPa.
Auto flammability:
3-methyl-1-phenylpyrazol-5-ylamine (CAS No. 1131-18-6) did not catch fire on being exposed to air at room temperature of 27°C pressure of 966 hPa. This indicates that 3-methyl-1-phenylpyrazol-5-ylamine (CAS No. 1131-18-6) is not auto-flammable.
Flammability:
3-methyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-5-amine does not indicate any ignition when the flame of bunsen burner having temperature of approximately 950°C is brought in contact with it. Thus it can be concluded that 3-methyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-5-amine is not flammable at high temperature. However since such high temperatures are not found under normal circumstances of transportation and use, thus 3-methyl-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazol-5-amine was considered non-flammable.
Explosiveness
The study does not need to be conducted because the substance contains chemical groups associated with explosive properties which include oxygen, but the calculated oxygen balance is less than - 200
Oxidising properties:
The study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied
pH: The pH determination of test item 3-methyl-1-phenylpyrazol-5-ylamine (CAS No1131-18-6) was done as per the test guideline OECD 122. The mean pH of the test dispersion was determined with the help of digital pH meter. The mean pH was determine to be 6.22 at 26.8 °C.
Viscosity
This end point was considered for waiver since viscosity is an inherent property of a liquid that offers resistance to its flow and 3-methyl-1-phenylpyrazol-5- ylamine is a solid substance and hence this testing was considered scientifically unjustified for 3-methyl-1-phenylpyrazol-5-ylamine.
