First-aid measures
FIRST AID INHALATION:
Remove to fresh air. Obtain medical attention.
FIRST AID SKIN:
Remove contaminated clothing.
Wash skin immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes.
If persistent irritation occurs, obtain medical attention.
FIRST AID EYE:
DO NOT DELAY. Wash immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes.
Obtain medical attention.
FIRST AID INGESTION:
DO NOT DELAY. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Rinse mouth with water.
Obtain medical attention immediately or hospitalize.
Fire-fighting measures
Extinguishing media:
Dry chemical powder, carbon dioxide, Alcohol-resistant foam, waterspray or fog.
Special hazards arising from the substance or mixture:
Hazardous combustion products may include toxic gases and fumes : carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, oxides of nitrogen and Hydrogen chloride
Advice for firefighters:
Unsuitable extinguishing media : Water in jet
Protective equipment : Full protective and self-contained breathing apparatus.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions, protective equipment and emergency procedures:
Ventilate contaminated area thoroughly.
Wear Full chemical protective combinaison specified for normal operations.
Do not breathe: Dust. Avoid raising a dust cloud.
Evacuate the area of all non essential personnel.
Environmental precautions:
Prevent from entering into drains, ditches, rivers or the sea.
Prevent contamination of soil and water.
Inform local authorities if this cannot be prevented.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up:
Sweep and shovel up with a wet scrubbing in order to avoid creating a dust cloud.
Showel up and place in a labelled drum, sealable container for subsequent safe disposal.
Wash contaminated area with water providing that the aqueous effluent can be disposed of safely.
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling:
Avoid contact with skin, eyes, clothing. Do not breathe dust.
Only use in well ventilated areas. Avoid generation or accumulation of dust cloud.
Conditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities:
Keep container tightly closed and dry and in a cool and well ventilated place.
