Additional information

Read-across justification summary is attached to this endpoint summary.

Short description of key information:
Dienone did not show a mutagenic potential in a bacterial reverse mutation assay (Salmonella typhimurium: TA1535, TA1537, TA98, TA100 and Echerichia coli: WP2 (pKM101), WP2 uvrA (pKM101)) when tested up to the highest recommended dose level of 5.0 mg/plate in the absence or presence of extrinsic metabolic activation (rat liver S9 mix). Therefore, by read-across, didenac is not mutagenic.

Endpoint Conclusion: No adverse effect observed (negative)

Justification for classification or non-classification

Based on read-across to dienone, didenac is not classified as mutagenic according to the Directive 67/548/EEC or according to Regulation (EC) 1272/2008 (CLP).
