Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets

Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

SOLID-WATER PARTITIONING (ADSORPTION / DESORPTION)

The registration substance is a cationic surfactant and classical estimation methods for the Koc from Log Kow are not applicable. C20/22 ATQ, CAS No. 68607-24-9 which already registered under REACH is a cationic surfactant as well (positively charged nitrogen). The results from an OECD 106 Adsorption/Desorption study with [14C]-C22 ATQ is used for the registration substance as it has turned out that they describe well the ionic interaction in sorption to solids for other cationics as well. This read across can be seen as a worst case.In the table below the result of the C20/22 ATQ OECD 106 study are given as well as their translation into values which are nomalized for the use in the Exposure Modelling Program EUSES.

AIR-WATER PARTITIONING (HENRY's LAW CONSTANT)

The Exposure Modelling Program EUSES calculates for the air-water partitioning

Henry's Law Constant (HLC) 5*E-04 Pa*m3/mol at 12 deg Celsius

Air-water partitioning coefficient: 2.1*E-07 m3/m3

DISTRIBUTION MODELLING

For the registration substance an Envrionmental exposure and Risk Assessment was carried out with EUSES 2.1 The complete EUSES Assessment report which includes the Distribution modelling is attached in Chapter 13 of the IUCLID,
