Justification for classification or non-classification

Both skin and eye irritation endpoints have been classified as not irritating according to the EU Directive 67/548/EEC and EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008 (ATP02).

The test substance produced erythema, which was reversible by 24 hours when applied to rabbit skin in an OECD 404 Guideline study.

In an OECD 405 study the test substance produced iritis, conjunctival redness, conjunctival chemosis, and discharge when instilled into the rabbit eye. All ocular irritation reversed by 48 hours.
