Conclusions:
The LC50 was 27.7 mg/L (95% CL 16.6 - 37.1) in an acute fish toxicity test
Executive summary:

An acute fish toxicity test using a fresh water fish (Oryzias latipes) was conducted according to OECD TG 203 and under GLP. The LC50 (96 h) was 27.7 mg/L, based on measured concentrations (CITI, 1997).

Description of key information

Acute toxicity to fish: an acute fish toxicity test using a fresh water fish (Oryzias latipes) was conducted according to OECD TG 203 and under GLP. The LC50 (96 h) was 27.7 mg/L, based on measured concentrations (CERI, 1997).

Additional information

Acute toxicity to fish: an acute fish toxicity test using a fresh water fish (Oryzias latipes) was conducted according to OECD TG 203 and under GLP. The LC50 (96 h) was 27.7 mg/L, based on measured concentrations. The value is contained in the approved SIDS document, but the original reference is not yet available (CERI, 1997). Results of model calculations give a lower value of LC50 (96 h) = 9.7 mg/L (GUBDH, 2008).

3,5,5,-trimethylhexan-1 -ol was also examined in a 14-day fish toxicity test according to OECD TG 204 and GLP in the same species ( Oryzias latipes). The LC50 (14d) was > 17 mg/L (nominal; CITI, 1997).
