Administrative data
First-aid measures
Emergency measure - Eyes: Get medical attention immediately.
Emergency measure - Skin: Seek medical attention.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Get immediate medical attention.
Fire-fighting measures
Product arising from burning: Hazardous combustion products may include intense heat and
high levels of black smoke containing carbon monoxide and
carbon dioxide.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Full protective clothing and self-contained breathing
apparatus should be worn by all fire fighting personnel.
Accidental release measures
Transfer the spillage to waste containers labelled in the
same way as the original containers. Clean the spillage area
with water and detergent and incinerate all waste.
Handling and storage
gloves resistant to chemicals.
Storage: The substance should be stored in a cool, dry, well-
ventilated area.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Contains no substances with occupational exposure limit values.
- Exposure controls
Engineering measures
Provide sufficient air exchange and/or exhaust in work rooms.
Personal protective equipment
Respiratory protection : In case of insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory equipment. Respirator with filter type A
Hand protection
Remarks : Wear suitable gloves. Choose gloves to protect hands against chemicals depending on the concentration and quantity of the hazardous substance and specific to place of work. For special applications, we recommend clarifying the resistance to chemicals of the aforementioned protective gloves with the glove manufacturer.
Eye protection : Tightly fitting safety goggles
Skin and body protection : Flame retardant antistatic protective clothing Choose body protection according to the amount and concentration of the dangerous substance at the work place.
Hygiene measures : Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice. General industrial hygiene practice. Avoid breathing vapors, mist or gas. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. When using do not eat, drink or smoke. Wash hands before breaks and at the end of workday. Follow the skin protection plan. Take off all contaminated clothing immediately. Wash contaminated clothing before re-use.
Environmental exposure controls
General advice : Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system. Prevent further leakage or spillage if safe to do so. If the product contaminates rivers and lakes or drains inform respective authorities.
Stability and reactivity
Chemical reaction with water: No known reaction
Dust explosion: Not appliciable as the substance is a liquid
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
technically feasible, and as such waste will be disposed of
by incineration.
Industry - Possibility of neutralisation: No chemical treatment is practicle to neutralise the
hazardous environmental properties
Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Contaminated containers or spillages of solutions mixed with
an inert material (e.g. sand) will be disposed of by
incineration.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Any conditions such as a gas scrubber are unlikely to be
needed as the substance is a simple hydrocarbon and no known
hazardous substances are generated.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: The substance should not normally be discharged directly to
the sewage system or the aqueous environment. However,
adverse effects on sewage treatment systems would be unlikel
y.
Industry - Possibility of destruction - other: Not applicable
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable as the neat substance is not made available
to the public.
Public at large - Possibility of neutralisation: Not applicable
Public at large - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: Not applicable
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Not applicable
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Not applicable
Public at large - Possibility of destruction - others: Not applicable
