Data platform availability banner - registered substances factsheets
Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Administrative data
First-aid measures
Loosen tight clothing such as a collar, tie, belt or
waistband. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen. If
the victim is not breathing, perform artificial
resuscitation. Seek immediate medical attention. Treat
symptomatically and supportively.
Emergency measure - Eyes: Check for and remove any contact lenses. Immediately flush
eyes with running water for at least 15 minutes, keeping
eyelids open. Cold water may be used. Do not use an eye
ointment. Seek immediate medical attention. Treat
symptomatically and supportively.
Emergency measure - Skin: If the chemical gets spilled on a clothed portion of the
body, remove the contaminated clothes as quickly as
possible, protecting your own hands and body. Place the
victim under a deluge shower. If the chemical touches the
victim's exposed skin, such as the hands, gently and
thoroughly wash the contaminated skin with running water and
non-abrasive soap. Be particularly careful to clean folds,
crevices, creases and groin. Cold water may be used. Cover
the irritated skin with an emollient. Seek immediate medical
attention. Treat symptomatically and supportively. Wash
contaminated clothing before reusing.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Remove dentures if any. Wash out mouth with water. Examine
the lips and mouth to ascertain whether the tissues are
damaged, a possible indication that the material was
ingested; the absence of such signs, however, is not
conclusive. Loosen tight clothing such as a collar, tie,
belt or waistband. Never give an unconscious person anything
to ingest. Seek immediate medical attention. Treat
symptomatically and supportively.
Fire-fighting measures
LARGE FIRE: Use water spray, fog or foam. Do not use water
jet.
Product arising from burning: Probably, during incomplete combustion, toxic gases like
carbon oxides or aldehydes could be produced.
Product determined by test: N
Protective equipment: Splash goggles. Lab coat. Dust respirator. Boots. Gloves.
Accidental release measures
of ignition, ventilate the area and exercise caution. Use a
broom to put the material into a convenient waste disposal
container as much as possible. Finish cleaning the spill by
rinsing any contaminated surface with copious amounts of
water. Consult local authorities for assistance on disposal.
Handling and storage
irritant. Do not ingest. Do not breathe dust. In case of
insufficient ventilation, wear suitable respiratory
equipment. If ingested, seek medical advice immediately and
show the container or the label. Avoid contact with skin and
eyes.
Storage: Hygroscopic. Keep container dry. Keep away from heat and
sources of ignition. Mechanical exhaust required. When not
in use, tightly seal the container and store in a cool, dry
and dark place. Avoid excessive heat and light. Always store
away from incompatible compounds such as oxidizing agents,
alkalis (bases).
Packaging of the substance and or preparation: 10 Kg fiber drum

Stability and reactivity
Chemical reaction with water: Slightly soluble in water, gives an acidic solution.
Dust explosion: No additional information is available regarding the risks
of explosion.
Dust explosion determined by test: N
Disposal considerations
Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: Biological waste water treatment could be applicable to
diluted solutions of the test substance.
Public at large - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Not applicable since the test substance is not distributed
to the public at large.
