Description of key information

Three acute experimental studies and two QSAR predictions are available to assess the aquatic toxicity of the registered substance.

The experimental studies on aquatic invertebrates (Daphnia magna) and algae (Desmodesmus subspicatus) were not considered reliable due to major methodological deficiencies and/or insufficient information provided on the methodology used. Therefore, QSAR predictions were performed using iSafeRat® High-Accuracy-Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship (KREATiS, 2019). Toxic effects were predicted on both aquatic trophic levels in acute conditions: the EC50 values were predicted at 0.73 mg/L for algae (72 hours) and 0.84 mg/L for daphnid (48 hours).

For fish (Brachydanio rerio), the experimental study was considered reliable with restrictions and the 96h-LC50 value was between 0.47 and 1.17 mg/L based on mean measured concentrations.
