- Key result
- Relative self-ignition temperature:
- 250 °C
Any other information on results incl. tables
Using a linear incraese in temperature of 0.5°C/min, the test substance showed two exothermic reactions starting at an oven temperature of 230 and 380°C, respectively. The test substance temperature increased to >400°C at an oven temperature of 250 and 325°C (i.e. self-ignitin temperature of the test substance). A maximum of 420 and 590°C was reached at an oven temperature of 250 and 350°C, respectively.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Conclusions:
- Pacified Reactive Black 31 is self-ignitable at a temperature of 250C, according to the criteria as described in the method A.16 of EEC-Directive 92/69 EC.
- Executive summary:
The determination of the relative self-ignition temperature of Pacified Reactive Black 31 was performed in accordance with EEC-Directive 92/69 EEC, A.16 "Relative self-ignition temperature of solids" (1992).
Approximately 8 cm3 of test substance was heated in an oven. The temperature rise of the oven was 0.5°C/min. The temperature of the sample and the oven were registered simultaneously. The test was started at room temperature and terminated at 400°C.
