Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The water solubility of the substance was evaluated by visual assessment and determination of the content of undissolved particled by means of the Tyndall beam technique (measurement of NTU-Nephelometric Turbidity Unit). The determination of the water solubility of the test item was not feasible by EU Method A6 and OECD Guideline 105. This was due to the formation of a colloidal suspension in the solution; it was not possible to prepare saturated solution of the test item without undissolved particles.

NTU values of solutions with concentration of test item ≤ 1 mg/l remain stable even when the concentration of the test item increases. Moreover, NTU values of test solutions (concentration ≤ 1 mg/l) are comparable with the NTU values obtained with the control solution (UPW). At concentration 5 mg/l and higher, NTU values increase. Increase of NTU values is associated with content of undissolved particles of the UVCB substance.
