Decomposes at >310°C before boiling.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The determination was carried out by the Siwoloboff method in a heated metal block using photocell detection according to OECD Guideline 103.

The boiling point of the sample could not be determined due to sample decomposition. The decomposition was indicated by a change in the sample color from a colorless liquid, to yellow, to brown liquid. The onset of this slow, subtle color change was difficult to detect but yellowing was evident above 310°C. Boiling of the sample did not occur before decomposition took place.
