Results

A calibration plot of log10k’ versus log10Kocwas constructed for the reference standards

(Table 5, Figure 2). The logarithm of the capacity factor for the test item was then calculated and the log10Kocvalue was determined by interpolation.

The test item, Dihexyl Fumarate (EC 242-833-4), was thus determined to have a log10Kocvalue of 4.8 (equivalent to a Kocvalue of 69000). Figures 3 and 4 present examples of chromatograms generated during this test.
