Endpoint:
boiling point
Type of information:
experimental study
Adequacy of study:
key study
Study period:
2014
Reliability:
2 (reliable with restrictions)
Rationale for reliability incl. deficiencies:
guideline study with acceptable restrictions
Qualifier:
no guideline followed
Principles of method if other than guideline:
A vaccum reflux apparatus with nitrogen feed to control the vacuum where desired and equipped with type K thermocouple and vacuum gauge reading in Torr, accurate to 0.1 Torr. The boiler of the apparatus has 200 cc of Santicizer Platinum P 1400 places into the boiler. Heat is applied and after attaining a contact reflux at 10 Torr the temperature is recorded.
GLP compliance:
no
Type of method:
other: Method Reflux at Reduced Pressure
Specific details on test material used for the study:
Test material: Santixizer Platinum P1400
Batch No: RP-901
Company supplier: Ferro Corporation
Key result
Boiling pt.:
220.2 °C
Atm. press.:
10 Torr
Conclusions:
The boiling point of the test material Santicizer P1400 is 220.2 °C at 10 Torr.
Executive summary:

The boiling point of the test material Santicizer Platinum P1400 was determinated using the method reflux at a controlled presuure of 10 Torr and held for 15 minutes. The Santicizer Platinum P1400 boiling point is 220.2 °C at 10 Torr.

Description of key information

The boiling point of the test material Santicizer P1400 is 220.2 °C at 10 Torr.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
220.2 °C

Additional information

The boiling point of the test material Santicizer P1400 was determined using a vacuum reflux apparatus with nitrogen feed to control the vaccum and equipped with type K thermocouple and vaccum gauge reading in Torr. The measured value is 220.2 °C at 10 Torr.
