Key result
Remarks on result:
no flash point up to 100°C
Remarks:
The test item boiled and welled up at a vessel temperature of approx. 108 'C. No flash point was detected.

Preliminary test:

The following tables show the results of the measurements as temperatures where ignition (+) was detected and where not (-).

Test item / gStarting
temperature / °C
lgnition
temperature / °C
lgnition + / -
220--
4100--
4100--

No flash point could be detected up to 100 °C. The test item boiled and welled up at a vessel temperature of approx. 108 °C. No flash point was detected. Therefore, no main test was performed.

Interpretation of results:
GHS criteria not met
Remarks:
EU-CLP criteria not met
Conclusions:
No flash point could be detected up to 100 °C. The test item boiled and welled up at a vessel
temperature of approx. 108 "C. No flash point was detected.

The test substance does not meet the CLP classification criteria (threshold of 60 °C). Therefore, the test substance is NOT a flammable liquid according to CLP criteria.
Executive summary:

A GLP study was conducted to determine the flash point of test substance by closed cup equilibrium method according to EU method A.9 and DIN EN ISO 3679:2015.

In the preliminary test, no flashopint was observed till 100°C. The test item boiled at 108°C.

Description of key information

The substance is manufactured and marketed as 45% solution in water (as a liquid), Therefore, Flash point of the substance at 45% in aqueous solution as manufactured and marketed was performed : No flash point could be detected up to 100 °C.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The test substance as manufactured and marketed (at 45% in aqueous solution) does not meet the CLP classification criteria (threshold of 60 °C). Therefore, the test substance is NOT a flammable liquid according to CLP criteria.
