Administrative data
First-aid measures
General advice: Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse.
IF INHALED: If breathing is difficult, remove victim to fresh air and keep at rest in a position comfortable for breathing. Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell.
IF ON SKIN: Remove/take off immediately all contaminated clothing. Wash with plenty of soap and water. If skin irritation or rash occurs: Get medical advice/attention.
IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. If eye irritation persists: Get medical advice/attention.
IF SWALLOWED: Do not induce vomiting, wash out mouth with water. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Get medical advice/attention if you feel unwell.
Symptoms: Causes serious eye irritation. Causes skin irritation.
Medical treatment: Treat symptomatically.
Note to physician: No special measures are required.
Fire-fighting measures
Suitable extinguishing media: In case of fire use extinguishing media appropriate to surrounding conditions. Extinguish preferably with dry chemical, water spray, or carbon dioxide.
Unsuitable extinguishing media: Do not use water jet. Direct water jet may spread the fire.
Special hazards arising from the substance: Combustion or thermal decomposition may cause toxic fumes e.g. methanol, carbon oxides, traces of incompletely burned carbon compounds, silicon dioxide.
Advice for fire-fighters: Fire fighters should wear complete protective clothing including self-contained breathing apparatus. Do not breathe fumes. Keep containers cool by spraying with water if exposed to fire. Do not allow run-off from firefighting to enter drains or water courses.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Ensure adequate ventilation. Avoid breathing vapours. Take off contaminated clothing and wash it before reuse. Keep unnecessary personnel upwind. Wear suitable protective clothing. EUH029 - Contact with water liberates toxic gas (methanol).
Environmental precautions: Avoid release to the environment. Do not allow to enter drains, sewers or watercourses.
Methods and material for containment and cleaning up: Small spillage: Cover spills with inert absorbent material, i.e. dry earth, sand or cloth. Transfer to a lidded container for disposal or recovery. Clean surface thoroughly.
Large spillage: Stop leak if safe to do so. Absorb remaining liquid in sand or inert absorbent and remove to safe place. Transfer to a lidded container for disposal or recovery. EUH029 - Contact with water liberates toxic gas (methanol).
Handling and storage
Precautions for safe handling: Good hygiene practices and housekeeping measures. Do not eat, drink or smoke during work. Avoid breathing vapours. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Contaminated clothing should be thoroughly cleaned. EUH029 - Contact with water liberates toxic gas (methanol).
Conditions for safe storage: Keep container tightly closed and in a well-ventilated place. Keep away from fire, sparks and heated surfaces - no smoking. Keep away from heat and direct sunlight. Keep away from water and moisture.

Exposure controls / personal protection
Hygiene measures: Protective clothing should be selected specifically for the working place, depending on concentration and quantity of the hazardous substances handled. The resistance of the protective clothing to chemicals should be ascertained with the respective supplier. Wash hands before breaks and after work. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before reuse. A washing facility/water for eye and skin cleaning purposes should be present.
Respiratory protection: In case of inadequate ventilation wear respiratory protection.
Hand protection: Wear chemically resistant gloves (tested to EN374) in combination with 'basic' employee training.
Eye protection: Wear goggles giving complete protection to eyes to protect against liquid splashes (EN166).
Skin and body protection: Wear suitable coveralls to prevent exposure to the skin.

Disposal considerations
Product disposal methods: Avoid release to the environment. Disposal should be in accordance with local, state or national legislation. Recommended: Burn in a chemical incinerator equipped with an afterburner and a scrubber. For small quantities, the waste should be adsorbed by sawdust or wipers and burned.
In case of asking to a waste trader who, should be certificated by the local governor and inform them
of all the possible risks and hazardous properties.
Recycle containers after cleaning or dispose them according to relevant legislation as well as standards
in local governments. Empty containers should be disposed of after completely removing their contents
Packaging disposal methods: Ensure that all packaging is disposed of safely.
