MAIN TEST
The solubility of test item in milli-Q water was determined to be 5.55 g/l, 5.56 g/l and 5.62 g/l for replicates Flask 1 (24 Hours), Flask 2 (48 Hours) and Flask 3 (72 Hours) respectively. The mean water solubility was 5.58 g/l with 0.68 % RSD at 20 °C by shake flask method within the limit of 15 % for three time points.

PRELIMINARY TEST
Preliminary result indicated that the test item had a solubility of more than 10^-2 g/l in milli-Q water.

Executive summary:

The water solubility of the test item was determiend by flask method, in accordance to the procedures outlined into the OECD guideline 105.

A preliminary test was conducted to determine the solubility of test item in milli-Q water and the solubility resulted to be more than 10^-2 g/l. Accordingly, definitive study was conducted by shake flask method.

Three separate flasks were prepared. For analytical determination of the subtance, the HPLC-UV method was validated.

The solubility of test item in milli-Q water was determined to be 5.55 g/l, 5.56 g/l and 5.62 g/l for replicates Flask 1 (24 Hours), Flask 2 (48 Hours) and Flask 3 (72 Hours) respectively. The mean water solubility was 5.58 g/l with 0.68 % RSD at 20 °C and pH 9.0 by Shake flask method within the limit of 15 % for three time points.

Conclusion

Water solubility: 5.58 g/l at 20 °C and pH 9.0
