Three replicate tests were performed. In the course of this study the test item did not self-ignite up to the melting point (determined to be in the range 185 - 190 °C). Thus, no self-ignition temperature could be stated.

Executive summary:

A study according to Regulation (EC) No. 440/2008 Method A.16 was conducted to determine the relative self-ignition temperature of the test item. The tests were started from ambient oven temperature. The temperature of the oven and sample were continuously recorded with a thermosensor while the temperature of the oven was increased at a rate of approximately 0.6 °C/min, the temperature of the sample was increased by about 0.5 °C/min up to 400 °C. In the course of this study the test item did not self-ignite up to the melting point of the test item. Thus, no self-ignition temperature could be stated.
