Results
The instrument was checked measuring the flash point of Flash Point Reference Standard as reference material. The instrument parameters can be seen in Table 1.

The measured flash point of the Flash Point Reference Standard is 108 °C (corrected value) which is in the acceptance criteria (108 ± 2 °C).
In case of the test item two replicates were carried out after the preliminary test. The parameters used for the flash point determinations are presented in Table 2 in detail.

Deviation to the study plan
The study was performed with the following deviation:
1. Using different standard during the study
In the study plan naphthalene was given as standard. During the study Flash Point Reference Standard is used.
Reason: typological error
2. Basis of study
In the study plan:
European Economic Community (EEC) directive 92/69, Annex V, Part A, Methods for the determination of physico-chemical properties, A.9 ”Flash point”, EEC Publication No. L383, December 1992.
Real:
Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008 laying down test methods pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), Method A.9, Official Journal of the European Union L 142 of 31 May 2008.
The deviations have no impact on the study. No deviations from the method but only from the study plan.
Description of key information
> 200.0 °C (EU Method A.9 (Flash-Point), closed cup)
Key value for chemical safety assessment
