Temperature is corrected to standard atmospheric pressure andtemperaturedeviationby special equation:

where:

C - the ignition temperature, taking into account the deviation = 90.1 °C;

p - the ambient barometric pressure = 101.5 kPa

Executive summary:

The study to determine the flash point of o-chlorobenzenethiol were carried out in accordance with standard PN-EN ISO 2719: 2007, "Determination of flash point – Pensky-Martens closed cup method" / EU method A.9 Flash point (GLP study). The test item was placed in a Pensky-Martens apparatus and heated to give a constant temperature increase with continuous stirring. An ignition source directed through an
opening in the test cup lid at regular temperature intervals with simultaneous interruption of stirring. The lowest temperature at which the application of the ignition source causes the vapour of the test substance to ignite and propagate over the surface of the liquid, is the flash point at ambient barometric pressure.
The flash point of the test item was determined to be 90.0ºC at 101.3 kPa.
