Description of key information

Under the test conditions, log Pow of test substance was determined to range (concentration dependent) between <-3.3 to <-4.0 at 21 ±1°C. The study was performed in accordance to EU method A.8 and in compliance to GLP.

Additional information

A study was performed to determine the partition coefficient of the test substance according to EU method A.8 in compliance with GLP using the shake flask method.

To different volumes of this solution different volumes of water were added (saturated with n-octanol) to achieve different phase ratios. The samples were shaken for 60 min at 21 °C and then centrifuged at 5000 rpm. The phases were separated and the concentration of the test substance in both phases of the samples were analysed by spectral photometer.

The partition coefficient of the test substance is concentration dependent. For this reason no average value and no standard deviation has been determined.

Under the test conditions, log Pow of test substance was determined to range between <-3.3 to <-4.0 at 21 ± 1 °C.
