Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.
The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information
The critical micelle concentration (CMC) in water of the substance and of a freeze dried sample of the substance were determined since the substance and the freeze dried sample of the substance both proved to be surface active. The critical micelle concentration (CMC) in water of the substance was determined to be 340 mg/L at 20°C and this value is also used for the water solubility of the registered substance. The CMC in water of a freeze dried sample of the substance, representing the solid content of the registered substance, was determined to be 113 mg/L at 20°C. This value is also used for the water solubility of the solid content of the registered substance and for the solubility limit in water for the estimation of the Pow of the substance in accordance with the ECHA Guidance on IR and CSA (Chapter R.7a; Version 2.0 of November 2012). The surfactant content of the registered substance is fully soluble (in the form of micelles) at 38.5% in water, as the substance is manufactured in aqueous solution. No further investigations towards the water solubility have been performed.
Key value for chemical safety assessment
- Water solubility:
- 340 mg/L
- at the temperature of:
- 20 °C
Additional information
The CMC in water was determined by measuring the surface tension of test substance solutions at different test substance concentrations. The surface tension of the test substance solutions was determined using the OECD harmonized ring method, in accordance with OECD 115 and GLP.
