Additional information

According to the REACH regulation Annex VII Column 2: The study does not need to be conducted if there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule. The substance does not contain any group associated with explosive properties therefore the test was not conducted.

Justification for classification or non-classification

According to the definition set out in the CLP Regulation (EC 1272/2008) An explosive substance or mixture is a solid or liquid substance or mixture of substances which is in itself capable by chemical reaction of producing gas at such a temperature and pressure and at such a speed as to cause damage to the surroundings. Pyrotechnic substances are included even when they do not evolve gases. Since there are no chemical groups associated with explosive properties present in the molecule the specific tests have not been conducted and the substance is considered not Explosive.
