From literature data the low values used for risk assessment related to acute toxicity are :

Fish: LC50 48h Oryzias latipes = 38 mg/l 

Aquatic invertebrates: LC50 48h Daphnia magna = 0.174 mg/l

Algae and cyanobacteria: EC50 growth inhibition 72h Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata= 20.4 mg/l (immobilization).

N-methylaniline being also no ready degradable can be classified as hazardous for the aquatic environment cat.1 acute toxicity (H400) and cat.1 long-term toxicity (H410) according to the CLP Regulation (EC n. 1272/2008) annex VI.
