Details on test conditions:
TEST SYSTEM
- Test vessel: 250 mL conical f1asks. The test containers were incubated at 21 to 24℃ with a continuous light intensity of 4440 to 8880 Lux.
- fill volume: 150 mL
- Initial cells density: 10000 cells/ml. Algal cells were counted at every 24 hours interval up to the end of the treatment period.
- No. of vessels per concentration (replicates): 6
- No. of vessels per control (replicates): 6
- No. of vessels per vehicle control (replicates): 6
OTHER TEST CONDITIONS
- Light intensity: 7310-7640 Lux

TEST CONCENTRATIONS
- Range finding study
- Test concentrations: 1, 2.5, 5 mg/L
- Results used to determine the conditions for the definitive study: 5 mg/L (limit of solubility)

Duration:
72 h
Dose descriptor:
NOEC
Effect conc.:
> 2.108 mg/L
Nominal / measured:
meas. (initial)
Conc. based on:
test mat.
Basis for effect:
growth rate
Details on results:
As the percent change in analysed concentration over nominal concentration at the end of test was > 20 %, the results were expressed as initial measured concentration (i.e. 2.1 085 mg/L).
Reported statistics and error estimates:
Statistical analysis was not carried out as there was no inhibition of growth at the limit concentration tested.
