Persistence
The substance is not considered to be P/vP in view of the available study results on biodegradability. The substance attained 81% degradation in 10 days and can therefore be considered readily biodegradable.
Bioaccumulation
The substance is not considered to be B/vB in view of the available data on Log Pow that are available. Three independent studies are available, which assess the partition coefficient of the substance. In all cases, the Log Pow obtained was well below 4.5 (Log Pow at pH 7: -0.19, -0.391, -0.23, respectively)
Toxicity
The substance is considered to be toxic since EC10/ NOECs < 0.01 mg/L have been obtained during chronic ecotoxicity studies with aquatic organisms.
Overall conclusion
The substance does not fulfil the P/vP or B/vB criteria, but does fulfil the T criteria. Therefore, the substance is not considered PBT or vPvB.
