Description of key information
1-bromopropane is a liquid at room temperature and so conducting a flammability study for solids or gasses would not be feasible.
In addition to this, experience of use determines that neither a pyrophoric properties study nor a flammability in contact with water study need to be carried out as there is no evidence of 1-bromopropane either spontaneously igniting in air at room temperature or exhibiting flammable properties in contact with water.

Justification for classification or non-classification
According to section 2.2.4 of Directive 67/548/EEC and the evidence presented in this dossier, the substance does not meet the quantitative criteria for classification as highly flammable (R11). However, n-propyl bromide is officially classified as F; R11 on Annex I of Directive 67/548/EEC and as a Flammable Liquid Category 2 on Annex VI of the EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging of Substances and Mixtures (CLP) Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008.
