Additional information

Short-term toxicity to fish:              LC50(96h) > 100 mg/L Oryzias latipes (Jap. Killifish)

                                                      LC50(48h) = 99 mg/L Leuciscus idus (Golden Orfe)

Short-term toxicity to invertebrates: EC50(48h) = 52 mg/L Daphnia magna

Short-term toxicity to algae: EC50(72h) = 53.7 mg/L Pseudokirchnerella subcapitata

Long-term toxicity to invertebrates: NOEC (21d) = 1.91 mg/L Daphnia magna

For the aquatic compartment short-term tests for all three trophic level as well as a study on long-term effects on reproduction of invertebrates are available. Based on the existing information invertebrates and algae can be considered as more sensitive to the effects of Benzoguanamine in the aquatic compartment. Due to this consideration and the conducted risk assessment further testing on long-term effects in fish has not been proposed.
