Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Results and discussion

Any other information on results incl. tables

The estimated DT50 value for C18:0 triglyceride using Mackay level III fugacity model (EPIWEB v.4.1) was found to be 75 days.

The estimated DT50 value for the adduct formed by two C18:3 triglycerides using Mackay level III fugacity model (EPIWEB v.4.1) was found to be 120 days.

Applicant's summary and conclusion

Conclusions:
The estimated DT50 values for a C18:0 triglyceride and an adduct formed by two C18:3 triglycerides using Mackay level III fugacity model (EPIWEB v.4.1) were found to range from 75 to 120 days.
Executive summary:

The soil biodegradation half life of castor oil, dehydrated was estimated according to the Mackay level III fugacity model of EPIWEB v.4.1 considering a range of components present in the substance, i.e. from a C18:0 triglyceride to an adduct formed by two C18:3 triglycerides. DT50 values from 75 to 120 days were determined.
