Additional information

In accordance with Column 2 of REACH Annex VII, measurement of surface tension need only be conducted if, based on structure, surface activity can be expected. In addition, the test does not need to be conducted if the water solubility is below 1 mg/L. The structure of this substance does not indicate a potential for having surface-active properties, and the substance is not designed to have such properties. The water solubility of methyl polyhydroxymethyl stearate is < 0.3 mg/L. Therefore, testing of surface tension is not necessary.
