A vapour pressure of 5.1 Pa at 20°C was determined by extrapolation for the test substance, the result is considered reliable and selected as key study. This value was supported with a predicted value of 3.8 Pa at 25°C using an appropriate estimation method. Vapour pressure values of 20 Pa and 1.5 Pa at 80°C and 65°C respectively was reported for the substance, the results are also considered reliable. The reliable study with the highest vapour pressure value at 20°C was selected as key study.

In other available studies to which no reliability can be assigned, vapour pressure values of 2.5 Pa (20°C), 53.3 Pa (98°C), 106.6 Pa (108°C), 53.3 Pa (97.5°C), 1.3 Pa (65°C),146.6 Pa (98°C) and limit value of <200 Pa (20°C) and <1000 Pa (50°C) were reported for the substance. The difference in vapour pressure obtained could be due to differences in the purity of the commercial samples tested and the test method used.

The vapour pressure of the hydrolysis product was determined to be 0.015 Pa at 25°C using an acceptable prediction method.

A vapour pressure of 2090 Pa at 25°C was available for acetic acid (Daubert and Danner 1985)
