Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Under the conditions of this study the average size of the particles was determined to be 28.31 µm.

Additional information

The key study was assigned a reliability score of 2 in accordance with the criteria for assessing data quality defined in Klimisch (1997).

The granulometric content of the test material was evaluated using a laser diffraction particle size analyser, Microtrac S3000.

A sample of the test material was dispersed into de-ionised water and processed ultrasonically; the suspension was then re-circulated and settled by three laser beams. The laser beams were dispersed by the particles and collected with multi-elemental detectors for analysis.

Under the conditions of this study the average size of the particles was determined to be 28.31 µm.
