The test item consists of a mixture of homologues with different molecular weights and, in addition to this, prabably of different secondary components. Due to this, the determination of log Pow corresponding to OECD Guideline 107, shake flask method is not feasible. As the test item is not suitable for the determination of log Pow corresponding to OECD Guideline 117, HPLC method as well, and because the test item is surface active, the log Pow can only be estimated fram the solubilities of the test item in water and in n-octanol.
