Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
General information: Call a doctor.
Inhalation: Assure fresh air breathing. If breathing is difficult, give oxygen. If not breathing, give artificial respiration.
Skin contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 min. Take the infected clothes and shoes off. Wash them up before using them again.
Eye contact: Occasionally lift up the upper and lower eyelids. Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 min.
Ingestion: Call a poison control center. Do not induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel. If swallowed, rinse mouth with water (only if the person is conscious).
Note to physician: Treat symptomatically.
Fire-fighting measures
Specific hazards: Thermal decomposition generates very toxic and irritant gaz.
Extinguishing media: Use water spray. Foam. Dry powder. Carbon dioxide.
Protection against fire: Wear a self-contained breathing apparatus in pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH (or equivalent) and full protective gear.
Accidental release measures
Personal precautions: Use proper personal protective equipment.
Clean up methods: Vacuum or sweep up the material and place into a suitable disposal container.
Handling and storage
Risk Management Measures: This substance is handled under Strictly Controlled Conditions in accordance with REACH Regulation Article 18(4) for transported intermediates and ECHA Guidance on Intermediates, version 2-December 2010 (Reference: ECHA-2010-G-17-EN). The substance is used only in one site in the EU, with the Importer and the User being the same legal entity. Site documentation to support safe handling arrangements including the selection of engineering, administrative and personal protective equipment controls in accordance with risk-based management systems is available at the use site.
