Description of key information

 A 48 h-EC0 of >/= 97.3 mg/L was determined on Daphnia magna.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Fresh water invertebrates

Fresh water invertebrates
Effect concentration:
97.3 mg/L

Additional information

should read >/= 97.3 mg/L

Daphnia magnawas exposed und static conditions for 48 hours to a concentration (nominally 100 mg/L) of the test substance.

Mobility and visible abnormalties were recorded at 24 and 48 hours. The measured concentrations confirmed that deviation from the nominal concentrations was less than 20 % (measured concentration were in range of 96.6 - 98.0 % of nominal concentrations). An EC0 of >/= 97.3 mg/L was determined. Analytical monitoring was perfomed using TOC.

This toxicity study is classified as acceptable and satisfies the guideline requirement for acute Daphnia study.
